Opportunity Information: Apply for DHS FEMA C UAS 161

The Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Grant Program offers $500 million in federal funding to help U.S. state, local, tribal, and territorial governments detect, track, identify, monitor, and in select cases, mitigate unauthorized or dangerous unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Established through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025, the program aims to strengthen public safety and protect critical infrastructure from drone-related threats.

In Fiscal Year (FY) 2026, $250 million will be prioritized for the 11 U.S. states hosting FIFA World Cup 2026 events and the National Capital Region, where major America 250 celebrations are taking place. These events have high security ratings, and jurisdictions will receive a guaranteed baseline of funding, with additional grants awarded competitively based on event significance and the proposed project’s effectiveness.

The remaining $250 million will be allocated in FY 2027 to all 56 states and territories. This second phase will focus more broadly on enhancing nationwide UAS detection and response capabilities. Specific distribution plans for FY 2027 will be announced at a later date.
